While many of these students have spent years studying accounting, actually taking and passing the test is quite difficult. How Long its Been Since College
The first consideration to make when determining whether or not you need a CPA review course is how long it has been since college. If you have been out of college for a few years, then your skills and knowledge of accounting may have weakened. In this situation, it may be a good idea to take a CPA review course prior to taking the exam.
Necessity to Pass the Exam
The second consideration to make when determining whether or not you need a CPA review course is whether or not it is necessary that you pass the exam. If you do not need to pass the test on the first try, then you could do without the course. However, if your job depends on you passing the exam, then you should take the CPA review course to increase your chances of passing.
Failed the Test Before
The third consideration to make when determining whether or not you need a CPA review course is whether or not you have failed the test before. If you have taken the CPA exam before, and failed the test, then you may want to take a CPA review course before taking it again. The exam should help you improve in areas of weakness.
