Can I Get CPA CPE Or CFP CE For Taking The CCPS Certification?
By mfishman
The need for CPAs is definitely out there. The common citizen generally thinks of a CPA when it comes to their basic accounting needs. This does not mean that it isn’t valuable to get CPE and CFP certified when it comes to a CCPS Certification. The CFP Certification which can be a smaller portion of the CCPS certification is something that you typically see when it comes to corporate financial issues. People who deal with corporate tax situations are also smart to get their CPE certification. The accountants who get to work on these corporate accounts know how profitable they can be.
Tax Certification
You may even be able to find a community college instructor who can help you with the CCPS certification. You might have to deal with new laws like Sarbanes Oxley which deals with new financial regulations on larger corporate entities in order to get your CPE or your CFR certification. You may also want to learn about something like Gramm Leach Biley which dealt with the deregulation of larger holdings companies in the way they could trade and sell different investments. It was a matter of deregulation and you need to keep this in mind as you try to obtain your CCPS Certification
Tax Laws
New tax laws do come up all of the time. You need to keep track of these new tax laws whether you are trying to obtain your CPA, CPE or CFP as a part of the goal of getting your CCPS Certification. Companies need to know which tax loopholes are being opened and which ones are being closed, this is why they would expect someone who is a CFP to already have this figured out. It can be quite an accomplishment to get your CCPS Certification.
